Job Title: Hydraulic Technician Location: New Port Richey, FL Duration: 6 Months+ Shift: 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:45 PM – 11:15 PM (2 openings) Position Overview: We are seeking a Hydraulic Technician to perform hydraulic assembly, testing, and mechanical tasks in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience using hand tools, and the ability to read blueprints and technical instructions. Candidates with plumbing or automotive mechanic experience are encouraged to apply. Top Skills Required: Commitment to workplace safety Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset Ability to work independently and in a team environment Experience using hand tools, torque wrenches, and calipers Ability to read and interpret blueprints Mechanical experience (plumbing or automotive background preferred) Key Responsibilities: Perform assembly and testing of hydraulic valves and assemblies by following blueprints and job sheets Set up test stands and test valves to ensure specifications are met Conduct proof testing and re-testing of valves Troubleshoot assembly and testing issues Follow written technical instructions and engineering drawings Maintain productivity while producing high-quality work Complete required paperwork, including production records and safety documentation Maintain company hand tools and equipment Support continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process improvements Train and support cross-training of team members Perform preventative maintenance as needed Follow all company safety, quality, and environmental policies Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required Minimum 2 years of experience in a mechanical or manufacturing role Experience in manufacturing or assembly environments preferred Experience using hand tools and measuring instruments such as torque wrenches and calipers Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is a plus Ability to read and understand blueprints, job sheets, and technical instructions Strong mechanical skills and troubleshooting ability Willingness to work overtime as needed Physical Requirements: Ability to pass a visual acuity exam Ability to lift up to 35 lbs daily Ability to stand for extended periods (8+ hours) Frequent bending and twisting required Comfortable working with solvents, oils, and other industrial chemicals Work Environment & Expectations: Wear required PPE at all times Maintain a clean and safe workspace Follow all safety and quality procedures Participate in continuous improvement and Kaizen activities Support company environmental compliance policies.
