Overview of Responsibilities of the Hydraulic Tester shall be functional testing Hydraulic aircraft aero structure components such as hydraulic actuators, pumps, servo control actuators, hydraulic fuses, anti-skids. Hydraulic testers shall also perform routine, non-routine and preventative maintenance on all test equipment according to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Silver Wings Aerospace.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Perform work assignments as determined by the shop management.

  • Ensures that all work is performed in accordance with approved technical data, to customer supplications and regulatory requirements.

  • Use appropriate testing techniques, and calibrated equipment for the unit/part being accomplished.

  • Utilizes the proper test equipment or suitable alternative and perform s preventative as needed.

  • Records information and accomplishes the work assignment in compliance with the Inspection Procedures Manual and Quality Policies and Procedures.

  • Assist Department Manager and Engineers with new capability development of repairs received Maintain open two-way communication with Manager and team mates appropriately sharing both good and bad news

  • Provide units in a timely manner to meet company OTD deadlines.

  • Maintain personal and shop calibrated tools is satisfactory operational condition.

  • Comply with all safety directives and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings.

  • Assist Department Manager and Engineers with new capability development of repairs received Maintain open two-way communication with Manager and team mates appropriately sharing both good and bad news.

  • be responsible for maintaining test stand logs and maintenance of the stands.

  • Comply with all safety directives and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

  • Other duties may be assigned

  • You must be able to provide your own tools.

  • Must be capable of using standard tools to include but not limited to; screwdrivers, wrenches, ratchets and sockets, torque drivers and wrenches, multi-meters, soldering irons, micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, flow meters, psi gauges, temperature measurement, safety wire pliers, or any other tool required for a particular maintenance function.

  • Experience in aircraft manufacturing, installation, and repair/overhaul of aircraft components. Familiar with aircraft specifications as applied to final and in-process inspections.

  • Working knowledge of Federal Aircraft Regulations (FAR).

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, Standard Repair Manuals (SRM), & component maintenance manuals (CMM).

  • Work overtime as required by production requirements.

Education and Experience Requirements:



  • Must read and write the English language.

  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to shoot trouble is required.

  • Flexibility to work beyond 40 hours/week as required.



  • Represents strong familiarity with MRO production processes


 


Language Skills:


Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.


 


Mathematical Skills:


Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


Reasoning Skills:


High Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
