The Hydro Blaster will perform/assist a wide range of physically strenuous activities that require the strength and flexibility to carry, handle, position, move and manipulate materials and equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Hands-on operation of manual and automated hydro-blasting equipment
Examine surface cleaned to ensure conformance to company and customer expectations
Performed routine maintenance on company equipment being used on the job
Performs work using high pressure water blasting equipment to clean heavy industrial equipment (pipes, boilers, tanks, heat exchangers, bundles, etc.)
Assist in the inspection of equipment, hoses, connection, pumps and general work area.
Basic knowledge and ability to operate high-pressured water-blaster.
Ensures proper use of the equipment and immediately notify supervisor of any mechanical failure or problem of equipment.
Wear and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE.) This includes but not limited to respirators, skin, face, hand, and foot protection in a multiple number of combinations.
Ensures that tasks are performed safely with the highest level of quality.
Effectively communicate with supervisors on areas such as safety, quality, and integrity.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Ability to perform duties in accordance with training and standard operating procedures.
Ability to physically control industrial hydro-blasting and vacuum equipment.
Basic mechanical skill preferred.
Understands and follow verbal and written instructions
