HydroVac Operator - CDL A or B (Construction) Day and Night shifts

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused HydroVac Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating hydro excavation equipment to safely expose underground utilities, support construction projects, and maintain job site efficiency. The ideal candidate has experience with vacuum trucks, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operate hydro excavation (HydroVac) trucks and associated equipment safely and efficiently
2. Perform daylighting, trenching, and potholing to expose underground utilities
3. Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of equipment
4. Follow all company safety policies and regulatory requirements
5. Communicate effectively with crew members, supervisors, and clients on-site
6. Complete required job documentation, including daily logs and safety reports
7. Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and hazard-free

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred
2. Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required [Class A or B, as applicable]
3. Previous experience operating HydroVac or similar heavy equipment preferred
4. Strong understanding of safety procedures and underground utility practices
5. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
6. Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual labor
7. Strong work ethic and reliability

Preferred Skills:

1. Knowledge of DOT regulations and excavation standards
2. Experience working in construction, utilities, or oil & gas industries
3. Mechanical aptitude for minor equipment troubleshooting
