Smiles of Austin is seeking a highly skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to provide exceptional pediatric clinical care. This is an ideal opportunity for a hygienist who loves working with children, brings positive energy to the workplace, and is passionate about creating a comfortable, fun, and welcoming experience for patients.
We are a well-established dual specialty pediatric and orthodontic practice serving the Central Austin community since 1996. Over the years, we’ve built a strong, family-oriented culture—and we’re excited to welcome someone who shares our enthusiasm for patient care and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver an outstanding patient experience at every visit
- Accurately document clinical findings and maintain patient records
- Listen to, empathize with, and address patient and parent concerns
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and oral health maintenance
- Oversee operatory setup, breakdown, and sterilization protocols
- Take radiographs (X-rays) in accordance with state guidelines
- Collaborate with clinical and front office teams to support overall practice flow
Qualifications
- Active state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist
- CPR certification and radiography/X-ray certification per state requirements
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and clinical procedures
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills
- Commitment to compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and continuing education requirements
