    Job Summary and Qualifications
    The Hyperbaric Technologist, under the direction of the Director of the Outpatient Wound Care Department, administers hyperbaric oxygen therapy to patients as prescribed by the Hyperbaric Physician.

    What you will do in this role:

    • Chamber Operators/Inside Attendant of multiplace chamber systems are relied upon to have a very high level of knowledge in the chamber system, chamber operating procedures, and air decompression. For this reason, the requirements necessary to satisfactorily perform in this position are very stringent.
    • Required knowledge of physical gas laws and formulas necessary to function in this position
    • Be familiar with the contraindications associated with hyperbaric oxygen therapy
    • Demonstrated competency for Chamber Operation- Pressurization, Treatment, Decompression, cleaning, inspection, maintenance, daily quality log documentation, TCPO2 Testing
    • Tolerate pressurization and depressurization in a hyperbaric chamber (Multiplace Only)
    • Ensures departmental compliance with the requirements of JCS, NFPA 99, PVHO, UHMS, NBDHMT, and all other applicable unit safety policies.
    • Familiar with Multiplace Emergency Procedures
    • Intimately familiar with the chamber system layout and complex, including:

    • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
    • High School Graduate / GED
