MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES:<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>In
this role, you will perform the following:<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Lead
communication designs and coordinate with other disciplines<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Create
conceptual and detailed systems designs, including producing design drawings,
specifications and design analysis deliverables<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Coordinate
with a BIM/CAD team for drawing production<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Perform
quality control duties and independent technical reviews <\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Manage
assigned budgets, scopes and schedules <\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Mentoring
and providing guidance/instruction to less experienced staff members<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Other

· <\/span><\/span><\/span>May
perform fieldwork and write assessment reports <\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>May
assist with creation of design guides and templates <\/span>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span>The

areas of focus are: Architecture/Engineering (A/E) Services, Defense Program,
Design/Build, Classified, and Environmental.<\/span>

Qualifications<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>As
part of this role, you will be assigned to projects supporting U.S. Government
Agency/Department clients. Due to the nature of the work,<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>The
following are preferred qualifications:<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Knowledge
of NEC, IEEE, EIA, TIA, BICSI industry standards, codes and best practices
related to the design of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), low
voltage, and telecommunications systems <\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Strong
knowledge of structured cabling systems from a safety and constructability
perspective <\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Strong
knowledge of inside plant (ISP) cabling infrastructure to include
telecommunications spaces and pathways, copper, and optical fiber cabling and
connectivity<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Experience
in outside plant (OSP) design of copper and fiber optic communication systems<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Experience
in audio -visual (AV) system design<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>4+
years of experience designing applicable telecommunication systems<\/span>
<\/p>
<\/span>
<\/p>
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Minimum
Qualifications<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>All
applicants must be able to complete pre -employment onboarding requirements (if
selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background
check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any
applicable laws and regulations.<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Certifications<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Will
also consider candidates if they have direct Federal experience but no RCDD but
DOES have plans of sitting for the RCDD in the next few months.<\/span>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Registered
Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification (required)<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Certified
Technology Specialist -Design (CTS -D) certification (preferred)<\/span>
