Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Electrical (I/E) Planner to support planning, scheduling, and execution activities at a world-class LNG facility in Sabine Pass, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong maintenance planning background, extensive experience with SAP S/4HANA, and a solid understanding of electrical and instrumentation systems within oil & gas, LNG, or petrochemical operations.

This position plays a critical role in the development of maintenance and project work plans, outage schedules, job packages, and work order execution strategies to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate maintenance, project, and turnaround activities.
  • Create and maintain project, outage, and maintenance schedules using planning software.
  • Develop detailed job plans and work packages, including labor, materials, tools, permits, drawings, and procedures.
  • Coordinate work orders and schedules with Operations, Maintenance, Construction, and Engineering teams.
  • Develop and manage weekly, monthly, quarterly, and long-range look-ahead schedules.
  • Support workforce planning and manpower allocation to maximize schedule compliance and productivity.
  • Provide technical support within SAP/CMMS systems.
  • Ensure work order documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Identify material requirements and coordinate with Supply Chain and vendors.
  • Monitor backlog health and prioritize work activities based on operational needs.
  • Assist in developing KPIs and generate reports related to maintenance performance, regulatory compliance, schedule attainment, and work execution.
  • Analyze trends, variances, and performance metrics and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Support procedure development and revisions as needed.
  • Assist with budget planning and cost control initiatives.
  • Promote safe work practices and continuous improvement throughout all planning activities.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Technical Degree or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance planning experience utilizing SAP in an LNG, oil & gas, pipeline, or petrochemical environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA.
  • Experience with maintenance planning, scheduling, and work execution processes.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience developing detailed job packages and maintenance work plans.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced industrial environment.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC Card.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Prometheus planning software.
  • Experience with Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
  • Experience planning small to medium-sized capital or maintenance projects.
  • Knowledge of scaffolding, insulation, painting, welding, fabrication, rigging/lifting, machining, and related maintenance crafts.
  • Experience in a PHMSA-regulated pipeline facility.
  • Experience with gas compression and metering equipment.
  • LNG facility experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent planning, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a focus on customer service and operational excellence.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure while maintaining safety and compliance standards.
