This position is part of a work crew that works both independently and as part of a team, depending on the nature of the work. Equipment support requires excellent troubleshooting and communication skills to collaborate with other maintenance and operations personnel to efficiently diagnose and resolve issues.\n \nIn your future role as a Maintenance E&I Technician, you will:\n\n Perform routine and emergency maintenance on analog, digital, electrical, electronic, and pneumatic instrumentation and control systems\n Conduct inspections, testing, calibration, and servicing of process instrumentation\n Troubleshoot and repair motor control circuits, power and lighting systems (120V, 277V, 480V), and medium voltage (12.47kV) systems\n Maintain and repair test instruments for electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems\n Use and interpret diagrams, schematics, and drawings for installation and troubleshooting\n Provide on-call coverage and overtime support as needed to meet plant operational requirements\n Operate and maintain substation equipment, voltage detection tools, and other electrical systems\n Accurately document work in SAP and other computer systems (Word, Excel, etc.)\n Participate in training, safety programs, and meetings as required\n Ensure all work is performed safely, in compliance with site procedures and life-saving rules\n Maintain equipment and tools in proper working order\n Wear a full-face respirator or SCBA as required for specific maintenance tasks\n \nWe believe you bring:\n\n High School diploma or equivalent\n Completion of an accredited trade school program or apprenticeship in a related field is preferred\n Minimum 3 years as an Instrument/Electrical Technician in a chemical plant or similar industrial environment\n Strong foundation in electrical and electronic theory\n Skilled in analog and digital system fault diagnostics\n Understanding of scientific instrument construction and operation\n Experience with confined space, line break, hot work, and working at heights\n Familiarity with safety programs, permit-to-work systems, and LOTOTO procedures\n Ability to operate personal computers for work order management, part requisitions, and reporting\n Demonstrated commitment to HSES (Health, Safety, Environment, and Security) standards\n Must be able to wear protective equipment and work in varying conditions\n \nGood to Know:\n\n This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor in Axis, AL. \n This is an on-site position located at our facility in Axis, AL.\n You must be able to obtain Crane CIC Operator Certification\n Training in process safety, specific equipment procedures, and computer systems/software will be provided\n May require working extended hours or on-call shifts based on operational needs\n \nPlease apply via our online recruitment system.
