We are seeking an experienced IBM BAW Middleware Engineer to support, administer, and optimize IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) and IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation (CP4BA) environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in middleware administration, WebSphere/Liberty, Kubernetes/OpenShift, automation, monitoring, and enterprise workflow platforms.

This role will be responsible for installation, configuration, upgrades, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production support of IBM BAW and related middleware components while ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability of business automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, administer, and support IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation (CP4BA) environments across on-premises and cloud platforms.
• Manage and maintain IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW/BPM) production environments.
• Support middleware components including:
  • IBM WebSphere Application Server
  • WebSphere Liberty
  • IBM MQ
  • FileNet
  • DB2/Oracle/PostgreSQL databases
  • LDAP integrations
  • Elasticsearch
  • Kafka
• Perform environment setup, configuration, deployments, upgrades, patches, and hotfix implementations.
• Monitor middleware platforms for availability, performance, and capacity requirements.
• Conduct health checks, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Support high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) configurations.
• Automate deployments, configuration management, and operational tasks using:
  • Jenkins
  • Ansible
  • Bash/PowerShell scripting
• Support containerized environments using Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift.
• Implement monitoring and observability solutions using:
  • Prometheus
  • Grafana
  • Loki
  • Splunk
  • OpenTelemetry
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, and knowledge articles.
• Collaborate with application development, infrastructure, security, and operations teams for deployments and issue resolution.
• Participate in production deployments, weekend support activities, and incident management.
• Follow ITIL processes and support tools including Jira and ServiceNow.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW), IBM BPM, or similar workflow platforms in production environments.
• Experience implementing and supporting IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation (CP4BA).
• Strong experience with Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes environments.
• Hands-on experience with middleware administration including:
  • IBM WebSphere Application Server
  • WebSphere Liberty
  • IBM MQ
  • FileNet
  • DB2/Oracle/PostgreSQL
  • LDAP integration
  • Elasticsearch
  • Kafka
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as Jenkins and Ansible.
• Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production support skills.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools:
  • Prometheus
  • Grafana
  • Loki
  • Splunk
  • OpenTelemetry
• Knowledge of HA/DR concepts and enterprise middleware architecture.
• Experience supporting cloud and container platforms.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes and incident/problem management.
