Your Role

Akkodis is seeking an IBM BPM Middleware Engineer for a Contract with a client in New York, NY/Alpharetta, GA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation (CP4BA) platforms, including middleware administration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and system reliability.

Rate Range: $49/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

IBM BPM Middleware Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Install, configure, administer, and support IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) and IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation (CP4BA) environments across on-premises and OpenShift/Kubernetes platforms.

• Manage and maintain middleware technologies including WebSphere Application Server/Liberty, Postgres, DB2/Oracle, IBM MQ, Kafka, Elasticsearch, and LDAP integrations.

• Perform system monitoring, health checks, performance tuning, capacity planning, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and optimal platform performance.

• Execute software upgrades, patches, hotfixes, and production deployments while minimizing business disruption and downtime.

• Automate deployment and operational processes using CI/CD tools and scripting technologies such as Jenkins, Ansible, Bash, and PowerShell.

• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams to resolve incidents, support HA/DR configurations, and maintain compliance with organizational security standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW/BPM) and enterprise middleware platforms in production environments.

• Proven experience implementing, administering, and supporting IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation (CP4BA), preferably on Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes.

• Strong expertise in middleware technologies including WebSphere Application Server/Liberty, IBM MQ, Kafka, PostgreSQL/DB2/Oracle, LDAP integrations, and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and Splunk.

Pay Details: $49.00 to $56.00 per hour
