Akkodis is seeking an IBM Cognos Architect / Data Engineering Lead for a Contract with a client in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will lead the design and delivery of enterprise data architecture, ETL pipelines, and reporting solutions using IBM Cognos and DataStage to support large-scale BI initiatives.
Rate Range: $53/Hour to $56/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
IBM Cognos Architect / Data Engineering Lead Job Responsibilities include:
Lead the design and implementation of enterprise BI and data warehousing solutions using IBM Cognos and DataStage.
Develop and optimize data models, reporting frameworks, and dashboards using Cognos Analytics and Framework Manager.
Design and build ETL pipelines using IBM DataStage and optimize PL/SQL queries for efficient data processing.
Integrate traditional BI systems with modern data platforms like Databricks and Apache Spark for scalable solutions.
Perform performance tuning and troubleshooting across ETL, databases, and reporting layers to ensure high data quality and efficiency.
Collaborate with stakeholders, provide technical leadership, and drive architecture decisions and data modernization initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.
10-15+ years of experience in BI, data engineering, and data warehousing with IBM Cognos and DataStage.
Strong expertise in IBM Cognos Analytics, Framework Manager, DataStage ETL development, and advanced PL/SQL with data modeling concepts.
Experience integrating traditional BI with modern data platforms (Databricks, Apache Spark) and delivering scalable enterprise data architecture solutions.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $56.00 per hour
