Description
Job Title: IBM Data Solution Architect
Duration- Fulltime Permanent
Location: Tampa, FL (Onsite from Day 1)
Job Description:
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
" 12+ years of experience in data architecture and data modeling.
" Strong hands-on experience with Oracle DB, IBM DataStage, API/file-based data integration, and Java/Spring Boot integration.
" Expertise in SQL, data normalization, performance tuning, and data integration.
" Solid understanding of data governance, security, and enterprise data standards.
" Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Data Architecture & Modeling
" Strong experience in:
o Conceptual, Logical, Physical data models
o Dimensional modeling (Facts, Dimensions, SCDs)
o Normalization & denormalization
" Experience with ER modeling tools (ERwin, PowerDesigner, or similar)
Databases & SQL
" Advanced SQL (E2/E3 level)
o Complex joins, window functions
o Performance tuning and indexing strategies
" Hands on with:
o RDBMS: Oracle / SQL Server / PostgreSQL / MySQL
o NoSQL: MongoDB / Cassandra / DynamoDB (preferred)
Data Engineering & Integration
" Strong understanding of ETL / ELT architectures
" Experience with:
o Batch and near real time ingestion
o Data pipelines and orchestration
Roles & Responsibilities
" Design and maintain enterprise data architecture and data models (conceptual, logical, physical).
" Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models and data marts (e.g., PTS Datamart, Jira Datamart, GDW/Employee Datamart, Application/CSI).
" Build and optimize data marts supporting analytics and BI tools (Tableau, Qlik).
" Design and support ETL pipelines using IBM DataStage to load curated data into Oracle databases.
" Enable API-based data sourcing and secure file transfers (e.g., batch files, feeds) for data procurement from internal and external systems.
" Collaborate with Java/Spring Boot teams for application and API-driven data integration.
" Define data structures, relationships, and standards ensuring data quality and consistency.
" Implement data governance, security, and compliance standards.
" Optimize SQL, indexing, and performance for scalable data solutions.
" Document data models and manage metadata repositories.
