Job Description
Safar Staffing is seeking a skilled IBM i Systems Analyst with strong knowledge of IBM iSeries/AS400 applications and enterprise business systems.
The ideal candidate combines technical IBM i knowledge with strong business and systems-analysis capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business and technical requirements
- Evaluate existing IBM i applications and workflows
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Support RPG/RPGLE and CL-based applications
- Perform systems analysis, testing, and documentation
- Troubleshoot production and application issues
- Work with developers, users, project teams, and stakeholders
- Recommend improvements to legacy systems and processes
- Assist with application modernization and integration projects
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- IBM i / iSeries / AS400 experience
- Understanding of RPG IV/RPGLE
- CL/CLLE knowledge
- DB2 for i and SQL
- Business and systems analysis experience
- Requirements gathering
- Application testing
- Technical documentation
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
