IBM Power System and AIX Admin

Job description

• Location:Hartford, CT (Onsite)
• Administer and support IBM Power Systems (Power7, Power8, Power9, Power10).
• Perform server provisioning, installation, configuration, and lifecycle management.
• Execute firmware, microcode, and hardware maintenance activities.
• Plan and perform IBM Power platform upgrades and migrations.
• Install, configure, patch, and maintain AIX 7.x environments.
• Perform TL/SP upgrades, OS upgrades, and NIM/NIMADM migrations.
• Build and maintain Virtual I/O Servers.
• Configure virtual SCSI, NPIV, Shared Ethernet Adapters (SEA), and virtual networking.
• Perform VIOS upgrades, patching, and health checks.
• Manage storage virtualization and SAN connectivity
• Install, configure, and manage Hardware Management Consoles (HMC).
• Create and manage LPARs, DLPAR operations, processor and memory allocation.
• Perform HMC upgrades, backups, and recovery activities.

Mandatory Skills : AIX administration, VIO management
