We are seeking an experienced Senior IBM Sterling File Gateway Administrator with 10+ years of experience in IBM Sterling File Gateway, Sterling Integrator, enterprise file transfer, EDI, and automation. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience configuring and provisioning trading partners, developing custom business processes, administering File Gateway environments, and supporting Connect installations and upgrades.

The candidate should also have experience with scripting and automation to streamline file transfer workflows and improve system availability, monitoring, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, administer, and support IBM Sterling File Gateway (FGW) and Sterling Integrator environments.
• Configure and provision business partners, trading partners, accounts, channels, and communication protocols.
• Create and maintain custom business processes, workflows, and channel templates based on business and customer requirements.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable file transfer and automation solutions.
• Perform File Gateway administration, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Manage and troubleshoot file transfer issues in coordination with application, infrastructure, network, database, and other support teams.
• Perform File Gateway and Connect upgrades, installations, configurations, and migrations.
• Administer and support IBM Connect environments.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell, Perl, Python, and/or PowerShell.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks and improve file transfer workflows and processes.
• Research, evaluate, and implement solutions for system availability monitoring, statistical analysis, and operational reporting.
• Work with enterprise automation and workload scheduling tools such as Stonebranch and GoAnywhere.
• Support and administer Globalscape file transfer environments.
• Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, application teams, and customers to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Participate in production support, incident management, root-cause analysis, and problem resolution.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, configuration details, and support processes.
• Ensure file transfer solutions meet security, availability, reliability, and compliance requirements.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Sterling File Gateway and Sterling Integrator.
• Strong experience with Sterling File Gateway administration and Sterling dashboard.
• Hands-on experience configuring and provisioning partners in IBM Sterling Integrator and File Gateway.
• Strong experience creating Sterling business processes and channel templates.
• Experience with IBM Connect installation, configuration, administration, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Good functional understanding of EDI and enterprise file transfer processes.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience with Shell scripting, Perl, Python, and/or PowerShell.
• Knowledge of DB2 and IBM MQ.
• Experience troubleshooting complex file transfer and integration issues.
• Experience with File Gateway and Connect upgrades and migration activities.

Preferred / Desirable Skills

• Experience with Stonebranch and enterprise workload automation tools.
• Experience with GoAnywhere.
• Hands-on experience with Globalscape.
• Knowledge of Control-M, Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS), or similar workload scheduling tools.
• Experience with system monitoring and automation solutions.
• Knowledge of production support, high availability, and disaster recovery processes.
• Strong communication, analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills.
