    Responsibilities*

    Schedules and coordinates the efficient distribution of products in order to satisfy customer demand. Analyzes and revises shipment plans as required. Works with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and accuracy of shipment records. Determines reorder points and ensures that sufficient levels of inventory are maintained. Analyzes actual product demand, trends and forecasts, and adjusts inventory plans accordingly.

    • Applies basic skills and procedures appropriate for the position within assigned functional area. Duties and tasks are standardized. Resolves routine questions and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher levels. Works under direct supervision and follows standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks. Under FLSA, incumbents in this position are nonexempt.

    Required Qualifications*

    • 0-2 years of experience
    • Excel spreadsheets and manipulation of data
    • Customer Service expertise; interfacing with various internal and external stakeholders
    • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
    • Time management and prioritization skills

    Desired Qualifications*

    • Previous experience with medical terminology
    • Experience with a variety of clinical specialties & patient populations
    • Comfortable with data/analysis

    Modes of Work

    Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes.

    Work Schedule

    This position will work an 8-hour shift scheduled between the hours of 6:00am and 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.

    Background Screening

    Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
