ICAM Architect

Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid)

Duration: 6+ months

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Design and evolve the Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) architecture.
• Lead architectural vision, strategy, and migration approach for modernization efforts.
• Translate requirements into actionable architecture and implementation paths.
• Design overall ICAM architecture, including capabilities, identity flows, and integration patterns.
• Assess current identity ecosystem to inform future-state architecture.
• Develop artifacts addressing functional and non-functional requirements.
• Define architecture for authentication, authorization, and identity lifecycle management.
• Design secure access models supporting SSO, MFA, RBAC, and Zero Trust principles.
• Lead technical migration strategy from legacy to modernized solutions.
• Direct integration architecture for enterprise applications and platforms.
• Establish architectural approaches for maintenance, updates, and disaster recovery.
• Support MVP planning and ensure architecture meets compliance needs.
• Provide technical leadership for documentation and transition to operations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 8–12 years of experience in ICAM, cybersecurity, or enterprise architecture.
• Experience designing enterprise ICAM architectures across the delivery lifecycle.
• Experience with cloud-based identity platforms and system integration.
• Hands-on expertise with Okta, SailPoint, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Strong knowledge of identity lifecycle management, access governance, and federal ICAM regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CRISC, Security+, TOGAF, or relevant Okta, SailPoint, and Microsoft certifications.
• Experience supporting federal environments with strong security and compliance requirements.
