JOB SUMMARY
The ICCB (Intelligent Circuit Control Board) Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of ICCBs used in industrial and commercial settings. This role involves ensuring the proper functioning of ICCBs to control electrical circuits, monitor equipment status, and protect against electrical faults. The ICCB Technician performs inspections, tests, and repairs to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational requirements, contributing to the reliability and efficiency of electrical systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Install and configure ICCBs according to manufacturer specifications, wiring diagrams, and electrical codes, ensuring proper integration with electrical systems and equipment.
Conduct functional tests and commissioning procedures to verify the correct operation of ICCBs and associated electrical circuits.
Perform routine preventive maintenance on ICCBs, including cleaning, inspection, and calibration of components, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Diagnose and troubleshoot ICCB malfunctions, electrical faults, and control system issues using diagnostic tools, test equipment, and technical documentation.
Conduct periodic inspections and testing of ICCBs to identify potential problems, assess equipment condition, and verify compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Perform electrical tests, such as continuity checks, insulation resistance tests, and circuit load measurements, to ensure proper functionality of ICCBs and associated electrical circuits.
Maintain accurate records of ICCB installations, maintenance activities, test results, and repairs performed, documenting findings, observations, and corrective actions in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Generate inspection reports, service logs, and documentation to track ICCB performance, maintenance history, and compliance with industry standards.
Adhere to safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and electrical safety standards when working with ICCBs and electrical systems to prevent accidents, injuries, and electrical hazards.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, codes, and standards governing the installation, operation, and maintenance of ICCBs, including NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) and NEC (National Electrical Code).

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Not applicable. This position has no direct reports.
QUALIFICATIONS
Solid understanding of electrical principles, circuitry, and control systems, with practical experience in troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment and devices.
Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to interpret system configurations, component connections, and control logic.
Familiarity with ICCB manufacturers' products, specifications, and installation guidelines, including knowledge of ICCB programming and configuration options.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex electrical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintainaccurate records and documentation.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team and communicate technical information clearly and concisely.
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
Knowledge of ICCB operation, functionality, and application in industrial and commercial electrical systems.
Proficiency in using electrical test equipment, such as multimeters, insulation testers, and circuit analyzers, to diagnose electrical problems and verify equipment performance.
Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) standards and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations.
Understanding of electrical safety practices and procedures, including arc flash hazards, personal protective equipment (PPE), and safe work practices for working with energized electrical systems.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent qualification required. Associate degree or technical diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics, or a related field preferred.
Experience in electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, or a similar role, with specific experience working with ICCBs or similar control devices.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Certification as an Electrical Technician, Control Systems Technician, or related certification may be advantageous, such as NETA (InterNational Electrical Testing Association) certification.

Lifting requirements include occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and continuous lifting of up to 15 pounds.

EMPLOYEE EVALUATION SUMMARY
Introductory -- Will be written at approximately 80 days after employment and will be used to determine whether employee has sufficiently met and performed the job requirements, and will indicate whether employment will continue
Annual Reviews – Employee will be given a formal regular annual review, which assesses productivity and demonstrated business skills and accomplishments for the previous period.
WORK SCHEDULE
Hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm. You are required to be at your workstation from the start of your shift to the completion of your shift Monday thru Friday.
