Job Summary
Established, award winning catering company seeking a Prep Cook to join the team at our busy catering company / new bistro ICONIC. In this position, you will be responsible for using high-quality fresh ingredients to prepare delicious scratch dishes for our clients, for both in house and off site events. The ideal candidate is experienced, creative, and committed to creating an excellent experience for patrons. If you have a passion for creating meals that “wow,” we want to hear from you. We’re looking for someone who is dependable, efficient, organized and comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen. This position will focus heavily on catering prep while supporting the Iconic kitchen as needed. This position may be part time, full time and / or seasonal.


Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Follow recipes, prep lists and production timelines accurately 
• Prepare food and present in a modern, visually stunning manner
• Maintain clean station, assist with dish, trash and recycling
• Portion, package and organize food for off-site events 
• Work closely with Chef and catering team to make sure events leave the kitchen complete, accurate and on time
• Jump in wherever needed during busy production days - Must be a team player
• Follow all food safety regulations

• Reliable and punctual
• Attention to detail, including excellent knife skills
• Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques and recipes
• Excellent time management skills
• Strong at multitasking
• Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure
• Able to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for long  periods and lifting up  to 40 pounds
• Upbeat positive attitude + high energy
• Team player — everyone helps get the job done
• ServSafe or Food Handler’s Certification
• Previous professional kitchen or catering experience required
• Should be available most weekends
