We are seeking an experienced nursing leader to serve as Nursing Manager for our Intensive Care and Cardiovascular Step-Down Units (ICU/CSU). This full-time leadership role at a community-based hospital in Sunnyvale, Texas, oversees clinical operations, staff performance, and patient care delivery to ensure high-quality outcomes and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee daily clinical operations, patient care delivery, and staff performance for the ICU/CSU.
  • Manage departmental staffing, scheduling, resource utilization, and budget adherence.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop high-performing nursing teams while holding staff accountable through coaching and performance management.
  • Drive patient flow, quality outcomes, and core measure compliance to promote a culture of safety and service excellence.
  • Ensure unit compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, and evidence-based practice standards.
  • Address employee and patient concerns promptly and professionally, and participate in hospital leadership meetings and committees.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
  • 3 to 5 years of nursing leadership or supervisory experience in an acute care setting.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards (CMS, Joint Commission) and experience with budget management and staffing optimization.
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
  • Preferred: ARDCS or CCI certification, and bilingual skills.

Compensation & Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package for this nursing leadership role:

  • Base salary: $100,000 – $124,500 per year
  • Full benefits package
