Custom Healthcare is seeking experienced Registered Nurses for a hospital contract in Morgantown, WV! We accept locals and travelers! 
Registered Nurse Job Details: 
  • Hospital / LTACH / Stepdown Acuity Setting 
  • 13 week assignment - likely to renew
  • Night Shifts 3X12s or 4X12s per week, 7P-7A
  • Every other weekend and every other holiday required
  • $55/HR
  • Contact us for stipend package pay! - must be over 50 miles from hospital location
  • EMR: EPIC - must have EPIC experience 
  • Paid weekly! 

Unit Acuity Info: 
  • Our Patients are complex.  Below are some conditions we treat (keep in mind, our patients may have more than one of these conditions):
    • Strokes, TBI, Spinal Cord injuries, Trauma, Resp Failure, Cardiac Failure, Surgical Complications, non-healing wounds, cardiogenic shock, bowel obstructions, etc…
    • The patients have had extended hospital stays prior to coming to us
    • The average stay in our hospital is 4 –6 weeks
  • Acuity:
    • Highest acuity would be those patients on vents with vasoactive drips that we are titrating up. 
    • Lowest acuity would be a patient getting 6-8 weeks of IV antibiotics. 
    • Critical Drips include Vasopressin, Levophed, Dopamine and some sedations as we titrate the drip UP. 
    • Once we start titrating the drip down or we are not titrating at the time, the drip is no longer critical. 
    • Drips like Amiodarone, Heparin, NonTitrated Cardizem, and such are not considered critical drips
  • Nurse Patient Ratios
    • Typical load is 4-5: 1 (you will have patients w/trachs and some on stable vents)
    • High acuity patients will result in a 2-3: 1
  • EHR
    • We are on EPIC
    • Our nurses are expected to draw their own labs
    • We use Omnicell for Med dispense. 
  • Orientation
    • You will only get one 12 hours shift of orientation
    • After that one shift of orientation, you are expected to take your own team of patients. 
 Successful nurse for this engagement are those with critical skills and experience in drips, vents, and various modes of oxygen delivery including Vents, HHF, Vapotherm, etc… Working a stepdown floor is also beneficial.  The nurse must be able to handle a 5 patient assignment and deliver organized care.  The contract is a 13-week contract with a minimum expectation to work every other weekend.
