ICU Registered Nurse

Overview of the Role:

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a full-time, night shift position in their cutting-edge Medical ICU. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will provide critical care to patients with severe medical conditions, ensuring their health and recovery through expert evaluation, planning, and implementation of care protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Assess & Evaluate: Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients to create personalized care plans.
• Coordinate Care: Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement and coordinate patient care effectively.
• Manage Critical Illness: Provide high-level care for critically ill patients, including ventilator management.
• Emergency Response: Quickly respond to Code Blue situations and initiate necessary protocols.
• Patient Flow: Ensure efficient patient flow by managing screenings, exam preparations, and admissions.
• Education: Educate patients and their families about medications and treatments.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records and administer medications as per medical orders.
• Supply Management: Check rooms daily for necessary supplies and handle phone calls, including triage if required.

Requirements:

• Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing or higher.
• Licensure: Active Registered Nurse license; Compact/Multi-State RN license accepted.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred (must be obtained within 6 months of hire).
• Experience: Prior ICU nursing experience strongly preferred.
