Salary is depending on Experience.
Providing nursing services in the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) programs including but not limited to:
- Physical Assessments
- Treatment planning
- Timely documentation
- Coordination of medical treatments
- Medication administration
- Monitoring of health status of individuals
- Teaching and assisting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Home and Community Based (HCS)
- Texas Home Living Waiver (TxHmL) and Intermediate Care for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (ICF-IDD) programs
- Understanding, recognizing, and responding to the effects of all types of trauma, and an ability to work in a behavioral environment where staff convey dignity, respect, hopefulness, and the opportunity for choice and empowerment among consumers
- After hours and weekend on-call work required.
- Licensed to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in Texas.
- Experience working with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Have a Texas driver's license
- Have a good driving record for the past three years
- Have a valid auto insurance card.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Must be able to pass a job related physical. Able to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, lift 25 pounds and reach overhead.
