Job Summary

We are seeking an Identity Compliance Business Analyst to assess, enhance, and mature Identity Governance, Access Management, and Privileged Access Management programs. This role will work closely with IAM, Security, Risk, Audit, and Compliance teams to evaluate identity governance capabilities, identify compliance gaps, and develop measurable improvement roadmaps aligned with industry and regulatory frameworks. The ideal candidate will possess strong business analysis, IAM governance, compliance assessment, and stakeholder management experience, with the ability to translate complex regulatory and operational requirements into actionable identity controls and governance initiatives.

In this role, you will:

• Assess and document identity governance maturity across IAM, IGA, and PAM domains using industry frameworks and regulatory standards, including NERC CIP (CIP-004, CIP-005, CIP-007).
• Conduct current-state assessments and identify gaps in identity lifecycle management, access certifications, Segregation of Duties (SoD), privileged access controls, and governance processes.
• Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business and compliance requirements related to identity governance and access management programs.
• Develop identity compliance roadmaps, improvement plans, and maturity models that support regulatory, audit, and security objectives.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops, interviews, and assessment sessions with IAM, Security, Risk, Audit, and business teams.
• Define and document identity governance policies, controls, standards, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with IAM and security stakeholders to establish KPIs, KRIs, metrics, dashboards, and reporting for identity compliance posture.
• Support audit readiness activities, evidence gathering, compliance reporting, and remediation tracking.
• Analyze risk exposures related to access management, user lifecycle management, privileged access, and certification controls.
• Prepare executive assessments, findings reports, and recommendations to improve identity governance maturity and reduce compliance risk.

What you need to have to be considered

• 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis, IAM Governance, Compliance, Identity Governance & Administration (IGA), Risk Management, or Cybersecurity Governance roles.
• Strong understanding of IAM, IGA, PAM, access governance, user lifecycle management, access certifications, and Segregation of Duties (SoD) controls.
• Experience conducting compliance assessments, maturity assessments, gap analyses, and control evaluations.
• Knowledge of industry and regulatory frameworks such as NERC CIP, NIST, ISO 27001, SOX, and access governance best practices.
• Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops, gathering requirements, documenting processes, and developing governance recommendations.
• Familiarity with IAM platforms such as SailPoint, Saviynt, CyberArk, Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, or similar solutions.
• Strong analytical, documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Experience developing governance metrics, dashboards, compliance reporting, and executive presentations.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical operational controls and improvement initiatives.
• Relevant certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CISSP, Security+, SailPoint, or identity governance certifications are preferred.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $[114,500 - 132,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
