Summary:
The mission of the Idaho Department of Correction (IDOC) is to create a model correctional system founded on the belief that people can change. We fulfill this mission by fostering a professional culture that empowers staff, promotes personal responsibility, creates opportunities for success, and strengthens communities. IDOC is recruiting for a full-time Clinician to be filled at the new Pocatello Community Reentry Center (PCRC) located in Pocatello ID! Clinicians with the Idaho Department of Correction work inside correctional institutions/prisons and Probation and Parole District Offices around the state. The Clinician performs comprehensive mental health assessments, program assignments, and treatment referrals while developing individualized treatment plans and delivering therapeutic interventions. They collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external providers to ensure integrated care, present clinical findings, facilitate therapeutic groups, and evaluate treatment outcomes. Additional responsibilities include advocacy for residents' mental health needs, and participation in research.
