What You'll Do:
- Prepare operating rooms, instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during a variety of surgical procedures.
- Maintain sterile technique and an aseptic environment throughout procedures.
- Support patient preparation, transportation, and post-procedure care activities.
- Handle specimens and ensure timely transport to appropriate departments.
- Monitor inventory, restock supplies, and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Assist with patient comfort, safety, and quality care initiatives.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, students, and fellow team members to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and departmental projects.
Qualifications:
Education-
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Operating Room Technology or
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required.
Experience-
- One year of Surgical Technologist or LPN experience preferred, but motivated candidates are encouraged to apply.
Certifications-
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of hire.
- Illinois LPN License required for LPN candidates.
Compensation:
Hourly Range - $25.25-$39.38
