Are you a Special Education Teacher who enjoys creating individualized learning opportunities for students? Would you like to work with elementary students in a resource-room setting where targeted instruction and individualized support are central to the school day?
Clarifi Staffing Solutions is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to support students in 3rd–5th grade within a resource-room classroom in an Illinois school setting. This position is scheduled for the full school year, with the opportunity to interview as soon as possible as the position prepares to open.
About the Position
The Special Education Teacher will provide specialized instruction to elementary students based on individual learning needs, IEP goals, and classroom expectations. The teacher will work with students individually and in small groups, adjust instruction and learning materials as needed, and monitor student progress throughout the school year.
This role also involves working closely with general education teachers, special education staff, related service providers, and families to support consistent strategies and student development. Accurate documentation, participation in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and communication with the school team will be important components of the position.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- Previous school-based special education experience is preferred.
- Ability to develop and implement instruction based on individual student needs.
- Strong communication, organization, classroom-management, and collaboration skills.
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an appropriate special education endorsement.
- Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS I) endorsement/credential appropriate for the students and grade levels served.
- Candidates with a comparable out-of-state special education license may be considered if they meet applicable Illinois licensure requirements.
