Independent Living Services (ILS) Instructor – Job Description
Position Summary: The ILS Instructor provides one-on-one support to adults with developmental disabilities to help them build independence at home and in the community.
Responsibilities:
Support participants with daily living skills (cleaning, cooking, organization, personal goals, community outings).
Assist with community activities: shopping, transportation training, budgeting, and appointments.
Document services accurately and on time.
Communicate professionally with participants, families, and supervisors.
Follow agency policies, Regional Center guidelines, and maintain participant confidentiality.
Provide dependable, supportive, and person-centered services.
Requirements:
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
Ability to work independently.
Must pass background check (Live Scan).
Strong communication and time-management skills.
Experience with disabilities or caregiving preferred (not required).
Schedule: Flexible hours; part-time and full-time positions available.
Pay: Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
