Summary
Responsible for the repair, calibration, and planned maintenance (PM) of diagnostic and therapeutic imaging equipment throughout the healthcare facilities.
Position Reports To: Biomedical Manager
Essential Functions
With the assistance of the Senior Imaging Equipment Specialist, responsible for maintenance, repair, and servicing of specialized equipment in one or more of the following areas: CT, PAC's, nuclear medicine, angiography, and radiation therapy as assigned by the Biomedical Manager.
Assists in the development and implementation of equipment management programs.
Maintains appropriate documentation related to work assignments, parts, and equipment usage.
Attends training session on imaging equipment maintenance and technology to keep up to date on technological and medical equipment advances.
Conducts in-service training sessions to radiology clinical/professional staff on proper use and safety of advanced radiology equipment. Also, provides assistance and training to Biomedical Equipment Technicians as assigned.
Travels to locations away from Wenatchee to perform job related tasks.
Works directly with users of imaging equipment when evaluating equipment inspections.
Meets with Biomedical manager to discuss repairs and inspections that require equipment down time that is abnormal.
Schedules and prioritizes work effectively with departments, and schedules work time appropriately to access busy equipment after hours of clinic business.
Manage vendor relations for service and material requests in a timely manner.
Uses national and manufacturers standards when performing repairs and inspections.
Troubleshoots to the component level on microprocessor/multi based circuitry.
Performs other duties as assigned.
