We are also home to an industry-leading training center on a mission to empower the engineer, and we are ISO 13485:2016 certified.About the RoleTri-Imaging is seeking an Imaging Service Engineer I (ISE I) to support the safe, accurate, and reliable operation of diagnostic imaging systems. Working under the direction and guidance of senior engineering personnel, this position performs preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, equipment inspections, calibrations, quality assurance support, and basic repairs.The ISE I provides both on-site and remote technical support to hospitals and healthcare facilities within an assigned territory while developing technical expertise through hands-on experience, training, and mentorship from senior engineersWhat You'll DoCustomer Service & CommunicationRespond promptly to service requests from clinical departments and customers to evaluate and resolve equipment issues.Develop and maintain positive working relationships with clinical staff, physicians, vendors, manufacturers, and fellow employees.Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating professionally throughout the service process and minimizing disruption to patient care.Keep customers informed of equipment status, repair progress, and expected completion timelines.Assist senior engineers with equipment in-service education and basic operator training.Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, accountability, and commitment to the company's mission and values.Equipment Maintenance & RepairInstall, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and perform preventive maintenance on diagnostic imaging systems under established procedures.Perform planned maintenance, electrical safety testing, quality assurance testing, and system calibrations as assigned.Diagnose equipment malfunctions using manufacturer documentation, service software, and electronic test equipment.Replace defective components, perform adjustments, and restore equipment to manufacturer specifications under appropriate guidance.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while ensuring tools and test equipment remain properly calibrated.Participate in the assigned on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as required.Demonstrate flexibility to work adjusted schedules based on customer and operational needs.Documentation & Regulatory ComplianceComplete service reports, work orders, preventive maintenance records, calibration records, and quality documentation accurately and on time.Maintain equipment history records within the CMMS in accordance with company quality standards.Comply with applicable Joint Commission, CMS, FDA, OSHA, NFPA, manufacturer, hospital, and company policies and procedures.Participate in required regulatory inspections, audits, and accreditation activities as assigned.Inventory & Asset ManagementResearch and request repair parts under the direction of senior personnel.Maintain assigned inventory, specialized tools, and test equipment in proper working condition.Assist with inventory control and identify cost-effective sourcing options when appropriate.Technical Support & TechnologyAssist with basic DICOM, PACS, networking, and imaging system connectivity issues while collaborating with hospital IT personnel.Utilize manufacturer diagnostic software, electronic test equipment, and service documentation to support troubleshooting activities.Follow company cybersecurity policies and best practices when servicing network-connected imaging equipment.Training & Professional DevelopmentComplete required technical, regulatory, and customer-specific training programs.Participate in OEM training, seminars, workshops, and continuing education opportunities.Develop technical proficiency under the guidance of senior Imaging Service Engineers.Participate in departmental meetings, safety training, and continuous improvement initiatives.Perform other duties as assigned.What We're Looking ForEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Military Biomedical Equipment Training, or a related technical discipline preferred.Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.0–2 years of experience servicing diagnostic imaging equipment in a hospital, clinic, military, OEM, internship, Co-Op, or field service environment.CBET, CRES, OEM certifications, or military imaging training are preferred but not required.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesBasic knowledge of Radiographic, Fluoroscopy, Mammography, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, and related imaging technologies.Knowledge of electronic theory, diagnostic test equipment, and electrical safety principles.Basic understanding of anatomy and physiology related to diagnostic imaging.Ability to troubleshoot electronic and electromechanical systems.Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, service manuals, and technical documentation.Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, CMMS software, and basic networking concepts.Strong organizational, analytical, troubleshooting, and time-management skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently while seeking guidance when appropriate.Equipment & TechnologyThe Imaging Service Engineer I will work with a variety of biomedical and imaging service equipment and technology, RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, reach, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently and maneuver larger equipment using appropriate lifting devices.Vision and hearing sufficient to safely perform technical service work and communicate effectively with customers.Work EnvironmentWork is performed in hospitals, imaging centers, warehouses, and office environments.The position may involve exposure to electrical hazards, ionizing radiation, MRI magnetic fields, chemical cleaners, infectious
