Job Summary and Qualifications
The Imaging Student Extern delivers high-quality patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care skills while gaining practical experience and knowledge in imaging principles. Under the supervision of a Registered Radiologic Technologist, the Imaging Student Extern prepares for and assists with x-ray procedures in accordance with the Externs skill training and the needs of the Department. The Imaging Student Extern is currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of radiography and can perform higher-level procedures once competency is achieved.
Qualifications
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date • Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of Radiography • 1 year of imaging education completed or as mandated by state of practice • Associate Degree or Vocational School Graduate
