Jump-start your career as a(an) Imaging Tech Assistant today with Memorial Satilla Health.This position is an evening shift 1pm-9pm.Must be able to lift Job Summary and Qualifications To provide secretarial, clerical and receptionist duties for the Imaging department. Maintain knowledge of complex, regulatory requirements set by Joint Commission, OSHA and Memorial Satilla Health. Maintain accurate and compliant radiation documentation. To meet and greet each patient arriving in the Imaging Department using our vision, vision and values as guidance. To professionally and courteously receive phone calls and response appropriately and efficiency. To be the first impression of Radiology and Imaging Services. Responsibilities include welcoming patients, families and friends to imaging services, transcribing orders and checking-in patients using the electronic medical record system; maintaining the film library in some areas; assisting physicians, patients and others with imaging records and reports; assisting with calls and communication between radiologist and other physicians; assisting managers (as needed) with collection of data; and ensuring all patients experience excellence during their visit. Complies with the Memorial Satilla Health Compliance Program, related policies and procedures and the Code ov Business Practices; reports instances of perceived and actual non-compliance to Team Leader of through other reporting mechanisms. Education & Experience: • High School Graduate/Equivalent General Required Major Responsibilities: Accountabilities: Assisting and monitoring Georgia DNR Radiation Division - Licensing GA 218-1 Assisting and monitoring NRC program compliance, auditing and maintaining documentation. Member of the Radiation Safety Committee, requiring bi-weekly meetings. Documenting Radiation Safety Committee meeting agenda, notes and action plans to maintain compliance. Monitors employee annual radiation exposure monitoring and documentation. Monitors Radiation Safety regarding protection devices utilizing audits and documentation. Assist monthly with ICANL accreditation documentation and monitoring requirements. ACR accreditation necessities for CT, Mammography MRI, US and the required monitoring including documentation requirements. Assisting with monitoring of MD user authorization/auditing maintaining documentation. Schedules patients for Radiology procedures. When scheduling, obtains patient history. Answers patient/family questions, explains exam requirements and provides patient education instructions. Provides appropriate assessment and performance of service. Report problems relating to patients, staffing, equipment, or workload to Director of Imaging. Responsible for answering telephone, billing information, monthly reports and accounting duties. Performs all other duties as assigned.
