*EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE*
*Minimum Qualifications:*
* High School Diploma or GED
* Three (3) Years' Experience in the Primary Imaging Modality
* One (1) Year Experience in the Secondary Imaging Modality
*LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, OR CERTIFICATIONS*
*Required:*
* Two (2) Certifications from one or more of the following credentialing organizations:
* American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT),
* American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography (ARDMS),
* American Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT-VT),
* Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), or
* American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
* Registration as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT-GC) through the Texas Medical Board, if applicable.
* American Heart Association BLS.
*JOB SUMMARY*
The Multi-modality Technologist II provides quality imaging and patient care within two (2) medical imaging modalities in any combination. Performs imaging procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients in a clinic or hospital setting as requested by the ordering physician or other licensed provider. The Multi-modality Technologist II will meet all of the qualifications and requirements for the modalities in which they are certified and will work a minimum of 40% of the time in the second modality. The position may require flex shifts and support at different UTMB Campuses.

* Associates of Applied Science OR Graduate of an accredited Radiology program
* Enrolled in or have completed second Imaging Modality program
*Preferred Qualifications:*
* Six months of Experience in the Primary Imaging Modality
* Three or more months of experience in Secondary Imaging Modality
*LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS OR CERTIFICATIONS*
*Required:*
* Certification from one of the following credentialing organizations:

* Registry in a second modality must be completed within 6 months of hire or transfer date.

*JOB DESCRIPTION:*
The Multi-modality Technologist I provides quality imaging and patient care within two (2) medical imaging modalities in any combination of which MRI, CT, Mammography, or X-ray are the primary modality. Performs imaging procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients in a clinic or hospital setting as requested by the ordering physician or other licensed provider. The procedures are performed under general supervision of a Radiologist for the diagnosis of disease and injury in accordance with established protocols. The Multi-modality Technologist I must be able to effectively explain the procedure to the patient and be sure they are competent in the procedure being performed. In addition, the Multi-modality Technologist I will be able to provide care to the patients while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist. The Multi-modality Technologist I will meet all of the qualifications and requirements for the modalities in which they are certified and will work a minimum of 40% of the time in the second modality. The position may require flex shifts and support at different UTMB Campuses.
*WORK SCHEDULE:*
Up to 19.99 hours per week with no benefits. Hours will be during weekends, midshift (11am to 11pm).
