Manager Trainee Position with a starting salary of $48,000-$50,000 annually
The position involves physical, hands-on work in a lumberyard and building materials environment
Regular responsibilities include outdoor work and lifting
This is not a traditional office-based management role

Candidates with experience in construction, skilled trades, warehouse/distribution, military service, athletics, manufacturing, or other physically demanding environments are encouraged to attend

Manager Trainee Responsibilities
Learn all aspects of 84 Lumber's business through a structured management training program.
Provide outstanding customer service and support sales efforts in a fast-paced building materials environment.
Assist customers with product selection, orders, and project material needs.
Load, unload, and move building materials throughout the lumberyard and warehouse.
Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Operate material-handling equipment, including forklifts (certification provided).
Learn inventory management, merchandising, and store operations processes.
Read blueprints and assist with creating material estimates for residential and commercial building projects.
Develop business management skills, including payroll, invoicing, inventory control, and financial reporting.
Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
Collaborate with team members to support daily store and yard operations.
Complete all required training modules and leadership development coursework.
Demonstrate a willingness to relocate for future management advancement opportunities.
Build the knowledge and experience necessary for promotion into a leadership position within 6-12 months based on performance and business needs.
Responsibilities:
Payroll, Invoicing, Inventory and POS Systems
Microsoft Office Suite (previous experience preferred)
Interpreting and analyzing common financial reports
Reading blueprints and creating material lists
Responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers
