Position: Immigration Paralegal (Global Law Firm)

Location: Summit, NJ (Hybrid Schedule – 3 days onsite per week)

Summary for Immigration Paralegal:

We’re seeking an Immigration Paralegal to join a globally recognized AM100 law firm known for its strong culture, high-caliber work, and significant client visibility. In this role, you’ll support attorneys on a high-volume business immigration caseload, preparing a variety of employment-based petitions and applications while working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment that values accuracy, initiative, and exceptional client service.


Responsibilities for Immigration Paralegal

  • Prepare and compile employment-based immigration petitions and applications, including H-1B, L, E, TN, O-1, PERM, I-140, and related matters
  • Draft responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs) and assist with complex immigration filings and supporting documentation
  • Manage an individual caseload by tracking deadlines, monitoring case progress, and ensuring timely filings
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing case updates, requesting documentation, and responding to inquiries
  • Maintain and update immigration case management systems, ensuring accurate records and organized file management
  • Coordinate communications and filings with government agencies, including USCIS, the Department of Labor, the National Visa Center, and U.S. consulates and embassies
  • Prepare client correspondence, reports, visa appointment documentation, and other administrative and case management materials as needed


Requirements for Immigration Paralegal

  • Bachelor’s degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent relevant experience required
  • 3–5+ years of business immigration paralegal experience within a law firm environment
  • Experience preparing both immigrant and nonimmigrant visa petitions independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional client-facing demeanor
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting strict deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with immigration case management systems, such as INSZoom, and the ability to quickly learn new technology
