Immigration & Relocation Specialist

Location: Bellevue, WA (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite)

Duration: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire

Pay Rate: $45/hour

About the Opportunity

A growing technology company is seeking a Senior Global Mobility Specialist to support its U.S. immigration and employee relocation programs. This role will serve as a key resource for employees, managers, recruiting teams, and external immigration partners while ensuring a smooth and compliant mobility experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing immigration expertise, employee support, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

As part of a lean HR team, this individual will also assist with employee experience initiatives and select office operations responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Global Mobility & Immigration
  • Manage day-to-day U.S. immigration and relocation activities
  • Coordinate visa sponsorship and immigration cases with outside counsel and vendors
  • Track visa expirations, renewals, H-1B timelines, and compliance requirements
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on immigration processes and mobility policies
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition on visa sponsorship feasibility assessments
  • Support relocation activities for domestic and international employees
  • Respond to employee and manager inquiries regarding immigration and relocation matters
  • Maintain accurate documentation and government-required records
  • Assist with mobility reporting, audits, and compliance reviews
  • Help improve mobility programs, processes, and employee communications

Employee Experience & HR Support
  • Partner with HR and business leaders to provide a positive employee experience
  • Assist with onboarding activities for relocating employees
  • Support employee communications, engagement programs, and special projects
  • Participate in HR initiatives and process improvement efforts

Office & Administrative Support
  • Assist with visitor reception and front desk coverage as needed
  • Support office events, employee gatherings, and workplace activities
  • Coordinate guest logistics and meeting arrangements
  • Help maintain a welcoming and professional office environment

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience supporting U.S. immigration and global mobility programs
  • Strong knowledge of employment-based visa processes and immigration compliance
  • Experience working with immigration law firms and relocation vendors
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Experience in a fast-paced corporate environment preferred
  • Prior technology industry experience is a plus
  • Experience supporting office operations or employee experience initiatives is highly desirable
