    Job Description

    A day in this role

Step into a cleanroom where precision saves lives. Your day begins at your workstation inside a manufacturing cell, where—under close supervision—you assemble and repair tiny components for pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related cardiac device assemblies. You follow well-defined, standardized procedures, and your work is checked frequently to ensure uncompromising quality.

Throughout the shift, you’ll move between electromechanical assembly and basic testing tasks, documenting every step so travelers and quality records remain complete, current, and fully traceable. You’ll partner with your Manufacturing Supervisor/Manager to align on personal goals and cell performance metrics, and you’ll lend your voice to continuous improvement ideas that elevate quality and profitability.

    What you will do

    • Assemble, repair, and test pacemakers, ICDs, leads, and related medical device subassemblies using standardized SOPs.
    • Complete routine tasks with precision; work products are closely and continually reviewed.
    • Keep cell documentation accurate and up to date so all parts and processes remain fully traceable.
    • Communicate clearly—both in writing and verbally—sharing ideas, problems, and solutions with manufacturing leadership.
    • Engage positively with internal customers and visiting external groups (including facility tours).
    • Follow safety protocols and use appropriate protective equipment and devices for every operation.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement/quality initiatives to strengthen processes and meet quality and profitability targets.
    • Support divisional initiatives tied to QMS, EMS, and other regulatory obligations (including FDA/GMP expectations).

    How you’ll work

    • Apply a foundational understanding of Lean manufacturing principles in daily tasks.
    • Use electronic data collection systems and relevant software to capture and analyze production information.
    • Read, comprehend, and follow written procedures; understand and follow verbal instructions.
    • Prioritize effectively—sequencing tasks by precedence and importance to meet production timelines.
    • Handle and maneuver very small components with steady hands and careful attention.
    • Make sound, time-sensitive judgments with minimal supervision when needed, while operating within defined procedures.

    Required education

    High school diploma or equivalent.
