Job Description:
Customer-facing engineering role focused on implementing, supporting, and enhancing mission-critical SaaS applications in live production environments.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Implement change requests including technical specifications, system design, and UI enhancements
  • Participate in client discovery sessions, demos, and requirements gathering
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues across application, database, and infrastructure layers
  • Engage in customer calls, escalation handling, and post-incident reviews
  • Design and develop scalable applications using Java and modern web technologies
  • Contribute to both frontend and backend development efforts
  • Integrate new functionality into existing systems with minimal disruption
  • Develop and execute testing plans aligned to real-world customer workflows
  • Perform code reviews, refactoring, and system optimization
  • Monitor and improve application performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Document issues, resolutions, and technical artifacts in Jira
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, QA, and Customer Success teams

Requirements:

Must-Haves:
  • 5 years of experience in software engineering or customer-facing technical roles
  • Experience with Court Case Management systems (preferred jury systems)
  • Strong experience troubleshooting production systems
  • Experience with Jira or similar ticketing tools
  • Experience supporting live SaaS or enterprise environments with uptime requirements
  • Familiarity with Linux and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
  • Strong communication skills with experience working directly with customers
  • Proficiency in at least several of the following:
    • Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML/CSS
    • Angular, NgRx, React, Redux, GraphQL
    • Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, Redis
    • ActiveMQ, MuleESB
Nice-to-Haves:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in public sector, government technology, or enterprise SaaS environments
