Field Performance Advisor (FPA) Work Environment: Field-Based Industry: Telecommunications / Construction Operations Travel Requirement: Frequent travel to project and supplier sites within assigned market(s) Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Field Performance Advisor (FPA) to drive supplier performance, construction quality, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives across telecommunications infrastructure projects. This role serves as a key liaison between internal project teams and external suppliers, providing field-based leadership, performance analysis, coaching, and process improvement recommendations. The FPA will conduct regular site visits, identify performance gaps, troubleshoot operational challenges, and collaborate with stakeholders to improve safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate possesses strong construction management experience, supplier oversight expertise, and a data-driven approach to performance optimization. Key Responsibilities: Supplier Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate supplier performance using key operational metrics and KPIs Conduct regular site visits to assess construction quality, productivity, safety compliance, and tool utilization Identify supplier performance gaps and collaborate on corrective action plans Provide performance feedback and recommendations to leadership and supplier teams Foster strong working relationships with suppliers to support continuous improvement initiatives Site Operations & Quality Assurance: Perform onsite assessments and root-cause analysis to identify construction, safety, and operational issues Ensure timely resolution of field discrepancies and compliance concerns Verify adherence to established construction standards, quality requirements, and customer expectations Validate construction drawings, site readiness, and project execution activities Support site access coordination and customer-related field activities Process Improvement & Operational Excellence: Analyze operational performance data and identify opportunities for process optimization Develop and implement scalable process improvements across sites and markets Collaborate with automation and operational excellence teams to enhance tools, workflows, and reporting capabilities Identify systemic issues and recommend solutions to improve efficiency, quality, and consistency Support continuous improvement initiatives across multiple regions and supplier organizations Performance Reporting & Analytics: Review and analyze performance indicators including: Cycle time First-Time-Right (FTR) metrics Safety compliance Tool utilization Construction quality Customer requirements and expectations Utilize reporting platforms and business intelligence tools to measure performance trends Prepare performance reports, recommendations, and action plans Support Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) through data analysis and performance insights Required Qualifications: 7+ years of relevant telecommunications, construction, or field operations experience Strong knowledge of telecommunications construction processes and best practices Experience managing contractor and supplier performance Experience overseeing construction scopes such as: Civil construction Ground-based infrastructure Line and antenna installation Backhaul deployment Network maintenance activities Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities Experience working with operational metrics, KPIs, and performance reporting Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills Ability to interface effectively with customers, property owners, contractors, and cross-functional teams Knowledge of construction contracts, budgeting, and financial considerations Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Telecommunications, Business, or a related field Experience developing construction design solutions and sequencing recommendations Knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure deployment standards and quality requirements Experience leading or influencing cross-functional teams OSHA 30-Hour Certification Experience with telecommunications equipment and infrastructure deployments Familiarity with project tracking and business intelligence tools such as: Power BI Site performance management platforms Construction reporting systems Core Competencies: Leadership and coaching skills Supplier relationship management Operational excellence mindset Data-driven decision making Process improvement expertise Strategic problem-solving Project coordination and execution Strong planning and organizational abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments Key Stakeholder Collaboration Internal Teams: Project Management Construction Management Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Operations Excellence & Automation Teams Human Resources and Workforce Teams External Partners: Customers Property Owners General Contractors Supplier Organizations Third-Party Vendors
