Position: Import Coordinator Location: Torrance, CA Working Hour: 8:00am - 5:00pm FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Full-Time, Direct-Hire Overview:

An international logistics company based in Torrance is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Import Coordinator to join their import department. Import experience is required. This is a great opportunity for someone with import experience who is looking to develop their skills and step up into an Entry Writer role in the future. Japanese language skills or cultural understanding is a big plus.

Key Responsibilities: Review incoming documents and confirm shipping details against documents. Interface with global logistics partners to coordinate international air/ocean import operations. Process all related import documentation complying with regulations in a timely and efficient manner. Monitor shipments and communicate with clients and vendors accordingly about the status and progress. Coordinate logistics process by communicating between customers, carriers, vendors, overseas offices, and agents regarding shipments. Provide timely and effective customer service to clients and escalate any issues to supervisor. Support occasional warehouse-related tasks as needed, including basic inventory management and light packing/shipping assistance. Other duties as assigned by the manager. Qualifications: 1 or more years of import operation or customer service experience required. Entry writing experience is a strong plus. Highly motivated to learn import operations and relevant regulations. Familiarity with Microsoft (MS) Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple documents, and tracking various stages of shipments. Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with team members from diverse backgrounds.
