Job Title: Import & Export Specialist
Location: North Reading, MA
Duration: 12 months contract
Payrate: $40 to $55 per hour

Job Description:
Record follow up with tariff processes throughout client network to collect duties and taxes. Use applications such as Teamcenter, Blujay, Excel and Oracle to ensure proper classification of parts databases across multiple divisions. Screen for end use, denied parties and export licensing to ensure export regulations are strictly followed.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage tariff Import processes throughout client and subsidiaries.
  • Audits of export shipments using compliance checklist.
  • Check and release of end user holds, denied holds, ECS holds, export license holds.
  • Review, request information as required, and approve offline Intl shipments via Export screening.
  • Maintain broker classification database.
  • Respond to questions regarding incoterms, licensing, and general Intl Shipping.
  • Freight Payment using nVision resolution site, approvals, denials, request info from carriers.
  • Review and investigate weekly high taxes to ensure accuracy.
  • Request brokers make value, COO, qty, classifications etc. corrections as required.
  • Knowledge of duty drawback program to reconcile paperwork to retrieve duty paid. .
  • Schedule freight forwarders in anticipation of daily / weekly shipments.
  • Assures product delivery in accordance with internal / external customer requirements.
  • Trace / Track and report on customer deliveries. Contact carriers for missing or delayed shipments.
  • Provide support and interact with various groups providing resolutions.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible work schedule and after hours to meet deadlines.
  • Review orders to ensure proper Incoterms, Named Place, ECCN, HTS and other compliance attributes are correct.
  • Maintain proper documentation management and filing / record keeping.
  • Perform dock responsibilities as back up if required.

Must Have:
  • College degree desirable
  • Minimum two years in Logistics or Distribution environment
  • Knowledge of International Shipping requirements, documentation and export administration
  • Experience with Client Office and Excel
