IMT Support Technician

The position of an IMT Support Technician is responsible for deploying, building, securing and maintaining computing environments for faculty, staff and students.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide outstanding customer service and technical support to students, faculty, and staff during any interaction
• Tasked with installing, supporting, and maintaining workstations, mobile devices, software applications and peripherals.
• Work with internal teams on technical escalations
• Documentation of common issues and technical operating procedures

• Maintain strict confidentiality of company and personnel information
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission and values of the University
• Adhere to company attendance standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Competencies:

• Experience with computing deployment strategies and tooling
• Knowledge of servers, virtualization concepts and storage area networks
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory
• Proven experience with Device Management software
• Knowledge of virtual server technology and related software
• Knowledge of storage devices and storage area networks
• Understanding of file sharing practices on both Windows and MacOS
• Basic understanding of networking
• High level of attention to detail and organization skills

Education and/or Experience:

Minimum three (3) years relevant work experience in Information Technology

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Not required but is a plus

Environmental Factors/Physical Demands:

Work is performed in an office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active customer and employee communication; access, input and retrieve information from the computer system; enter alpha-numeric data into a computerized system often while listening on the telephone. May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to thirty (30) pounds. Operation of company vehicle and current valid drivers license also required.
