Description
Our client is seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses to join their Louisville-based clinical team. In this role, you will be the frontline of care for patients undergoing life-sustaining hemodialysis treatments. You wont just be monitoring machines; you'll be building long-term relationships with patients and playing a pivotal role in their chronic care journey.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Patient Care: Perform hemodialysis treatments including pre- and post-treatment nursing assessments.
Clinical Oversight: Monitor patients during treatment, assessing vital signs and responding to any complications or changes in condition.
Access Management: Administer medications, fluid therapy, and manage vascular access (fistulas, grafts, and catheters).
Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including Nephrologists and Dietitians, to implement individualized care plans.
Education: Empower patients and their families by providing education on renal diet, fluid restrictions, and treatment adherence.
Qualifications
Licensure: Active, unencumbered RN License in the state of Kentucky (or compact state).
Certification: BLS certification required.
Experience: Previous dialysis experience is highly preferred, but we are open to RNs with strong acute care or ICU backgrounds who are eager to specialize in Nephrology.
Skills: Exceptional communication, attention to detail, and a "patient-first" mindset.
