Job Opportunity: Senior Software Architect

Join our dynamic team in Indianapolis, IN, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of technology within the Child Support Bureau's Information Technology Department. As a Senior Software Architect, you will ensure the quality and consistency of our software architecture while providing technical guidance to development teams.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS services such as EC2, EFS, RDS, ALB, IAM, and S3.
• Manage and operate Kubernetes/EKS clusters, including deployments, integrations, and troubleshooting.
• Develop, implement, and support document generation or automation solutions using SmartDocument.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable, secure, and automated solutions.
• Monitor system performance, reliability, and capacity, and proactively resolve issues.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Set defined goals and meet deadlines.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• AWS certification.
• 5+ years of strong hands-on experience with AWS (e.g., EC2, EFS, RDS, ALB, IAM, S3, Lambda).
• 5+ years of experience managing and troubleshooting Kubernetes/EKS (i.e., deployments, integrations, configuration).
• 5+ years of experience with document generation or automation platforms (e.g., SmartDocuments, DocuSign CLM, Adobe PDF Services).
• 5+ years of experience with Linux and Windows environments.
• 5+ years of scripting skills for system automation, configuration management, and troubleshooting.

Preferences:

• Familiarity with Agile frameworks (3+ years).
• Experience with CI/CD framework and pipeline software such as Jenkins (3+ years).
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Alertmanager, and Grafana.
• Experience with NGINX Ingress or NGINX Gateway.
• Experience with Fluent Bit for log forwarding.
• Knowledge of pgvector or vector-based database extensions.
• Experience with Keycloak for identity and access management.
• Experience using KEDA for event-driven scaling in Kubernetes.
• Experience with MongoDB.
• Experience with Helm chart deployment and management.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Splunk.
