Position Summary

The Mobile Phlebotomist Supervisor is responsible for direct oversight and managing the daily workflow of the mobile phlebotomy team members. With focus on efficiently and accurately collecting blood and all specimen samples for Laboratory analysis, depending on specific facility demand and requirements. The Mobile Phlebotomy Supervisor will ensure that all duties and expectations are met set forth by the company, as well as the client expectations that it services.

• Oversee all daily workflow of the mobile phlebotomy team to ensure all duties are complete and accurate.

• Coach and train all mobile phlebotomists on policies and procedures, per company standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Collaborates with the President, Lab Manager, and Quality Assurance Manager to ensure the team/department is exceeding company expectations and makes recommendations of any noticeable trends.

• Communicates with Human Resources for proper direction on employee disciplinary, performance measures, and other employee related matters.

• Collect all samples including blood, and swabs with accuracy and efficiency per facility needs.

• Make sure all samples are labeled correctly and reflect what is on the requisition, to include all pick up samples.

• Adhere to all Safety and Health standards while working in the facility and or traveling; to include all residents homes and facilities; meeting all PHI and all PPE requirements.

• Complete all required documentation within your scheduled workday, to include Phlebio orders and mileage.

• Prepare all samples correctly for transport and deliver to laboratory or courier.

• Collaborates with others as need, including other internal departments.

• Other duties as directed by supervisor.

• Assign and confirm the schedule daily

• Strategically reassign orders to cover callouts and approved PTO

• Be in the field as needed

Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly oversee and supervise all Mobile Phlebotomists.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to five years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.

• 3-5 year of supervisory experience is required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Phlebotomy Certificate, required.

Skills and Abilities

• Demonstrated excellent leadership competencies

• Proficient in Microsoft Suite (i.e., Outlook, Teams, Word),

• Excellent organizational skills and time management,

• Proficient in Phlebio and other LIS systems,

• Strong problem-solving skills and conflict resolution,

• Strong Communication Skills, both verbal and written.

      • Phlebotomy Certification, Preferred
