Responsibilities

• Provide quality assurance services at various transit vehicle manufacturers and maintain accurate inspection records of each vehicle.
• Communicate progress of construction and inspection to clients.
• Ensure manufactured buses conform to clients technical specifications industry standards and manufacturers quality standards.
• Ensure each bus is built to the highest level of reliability and maintainability.
• Represent client and clients best interest while on-site during the manufacturing process.
• Ensure each bus is as free of defects as possible when delivered to client.
• Provide at a minimum weekly written reports to Customer detailing inspection activities status of bus production photos and additional documentation as appropriate.
• Demonstrate and encourage a Safety First lifestyle.
• Responsible for other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent verbal interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Problem solving and analytical skills.
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs including cannabis for any reason.

Physical Requirements The essential functions of this position require the ability to:

• Sit for extended periods up to 6-8 hours per day frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
• Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds occasionally throughout the workday lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance occasionally bend kneel or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
• Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust vehicle fumes and noise.
