Position Summary: The In-Process Inspector is responsible for ensuring products meet quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. This role performs dimensional inspections, records measurement data, conducts product testing, and verifies compliance with engineering specifications and customer requirements. The In-Process Inspector works closely with production teams to identify quality concerns and support continuous improvement efforts.



  • Perform in-process inspections of components, assemblies, and finished products to ensure conformance with specifications.

  • Measure product dimensions using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and rulers.

  • Accurately record inspection results and measurement data in quality systems and inspection reports.

  • Conduct low-voltage testing of electrical components and control panels to verify functionality and compliance with requirements.

  • Review products for defects, nonconformances, and workmanship issues.

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and ladder wiring diagrams.

  • Verify proper assembly, wiring, labeling, and component placement.

  • Support corrective and preventive actions to improve product quality.


Interacts daily with peers and customers (typically internal) to exchange or present factual information. Works on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgment. Has little or no role in decision-making. Receives predetermined assignments subject to moderate level of control and review. Normally receives detailed instructions on all work. Works under close supervision. Legal authorization to work in the US is required. Rockwell will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

Required Qualifications



  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the motor control, electrical, or manufacturing industry.

  • Experience performing product inspections and quality control activities.

  • Ability to use precision measuring tools and equipment.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and documentation.

  • Basic computer skills and experience with data entry.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
