In‑Process Quality Control Inspector (Precision Manufacturing)

Your mission

Protect product integrity at every step of manufacturing by verifying dimensions and functionality, flagging nonconformities early, and partnering with operators to lock in corrective actions that last.

• Zero surprises at final inspection through rigorous first‑piece and in‑process checks.

Core responsibilities

• Execute first‑piece and in‑process inspections across multiple manufacturing stages.
• Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, test equipment, and CMM to validate GD&T features, tolerances, and functionality.
• Identify, document, and report product/component nonconformities.
• Collaborate with production to analyze root causes and implement corrective actions that prevent recurrence.
• Maintain accurate measurement data, test results, and corrective action documentation.
• Monitor processes to confirm compliance with established quality parameters.
• Verify conformance to customer requirements, company quality policies, and industry standards.
• Prepare and communicate clear inspection reports to quality leadership and production teams.
• Follow all safety rules while complying with AS9100D, ISO 13485, and applicable standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality and efficiency.

Preferred qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Technical training/certification in quality, inspection, or related field preferred.
• 2–3 years in metal stamping and fabrication, manufacturing inspection, or related roles.
• Working knowledge of industry quality standards and required documentation.

Physical capabilities

• Frequent standing, walking, and movement throughout the shift.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs; occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong close, distance, and peripheral vision with depth perception.
• Fine motor skills for accurate part handling and measurement.
• Endurance for repetitive work and sustained focus over long shifts.
