In-Process Quality Control Technician (Medical Devices)

On our manufacturing floor, you are the steady hand keeping products compliant and customers safe. From the first sub-assembly to final release, you support production by investigating issues, executing acceptance tests, documenting findings, and helping ensure adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 13485, MDSAP, FDA 21 CFR Part 820/211, and EU MDR requirements.

A Day in the Role

• Jump in when a line pauses—troubleshoot, pinpoint root causes, and document corrective actions.
• Run and record in-process and final product acceptance testing (as applicable to the facility) to confirm specifications are met.
• Spot and document product and process nonconformances; partner with Operations to resolve.
• Participate on the Material Review Board and help disposition nonconforming material.
• Review device history records (DHRs) and support batch record release.
• Enter and retrieve quality data from local and global systems to maintain traceability.
• Carry out site calibration tasks and associated records maintenance.
• Perform environmental monitoring and complete all related documentation.
• Verify calculations, dose ranges, dosimeter placement, and any special instructions before processing and for final product release.

Schedule, Pay, and Location

• Shift: 2:00pm – 10:30pm (2nd shift), overtime as needed
• Pay: $20.43 – $25.00 per hour + bonus
• Location: 7405 Page Ave, St. Louis, MO

What You Bring

Required

• High School Diploma and 3+ years in manufacturing/repair/technical production; or Associate's Degree and 1+ year in manufacturing or repair.
• Comfort with math: ratios, proportions, basic algebra.
• Ability to thrive under deadlines; read and follow written procedures, safety labels, and equipment manuals.
• Strong documentation skills with attention to detail and Good Documentation Practices.
• Collaborative problem-solver who communicates professionally across teams.
• Self-directed with basic computer proficiency (Excel and Word).
• Willingness to cross-train in the aseptic department.
• Able to move, carry, and lift up to approximately 50 lbs.

Preferred

• Background in regulated environments, especially ISO 13485 and FDA-regulated settings.
• Aseptic gowning experience.
• Familiarity with GDP and chemical manufacturing.

Physical/Other

• Frequent bending, walking, standing, sitting, typing, hand use, and visual focus.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull 25–50 lbs as needed.
